Two-Week wait -- or a little shorter when the egg percolates for the first five days

I forgot to mention one other side effect of IVF--pregnancy! Got my initial result on Tuesday. Pregnant! HCG 146. (Good.) Had a second test on Thursday--still pregnant! HCG 480. (Really good!)

Blood tests every week for first 12 weeks to check progesterone and HCG. Wish me luck!

My journey

2008 - Started TTC (29yrs old)

2009 - Ectopic pregnancy. Scarred fallopian tube.

2010 - Early miscarriage (maybe two). Luteal phase defect?

2010-11 - See fertility doctor for 6 months of ovulation shots and timed intercourse. Lots of BFNs.

2011 - IVF #1. 16 eggs, 3 made it to blasty. Transferred 1. BFP!

2011 - Bit of a bumpy ride in early pregnancy (subchorionic hematoma? Uterine aneurism? Arteriovenous malformation?) but later smooth sailing.

2012 - Birth of DS! He's perfect.

2014 - IVF #2. 17 eggs, 4 made it to blasty. Transferred 1. BFP. Blighted ovum.

2014 - FET #1. Transferred 1. BFN.

2014 - FET #2. Transferred 1. BFP. Chemical pregnancy.

2015 - IVF #3. 14 eggs, 6 make it to blasty! Transferred 1. BFP. Chromosomal testing for others. 4/5 normal.

2015 - Abnormal AFP test at 16 weeks; ultrasound confirms fatal and incurable neural tube defect (anencephaly); we made painful decision to terminate at 17w2d

2015 - FET#3. Transferred chromosomally normal embryo. Chemical pregnancy (HCG 2).

2015 - FET #4. Transferred chromosomally normal embryo. Chemical pregnancy (HCG 1).

2016 - FET #5. Transferred chromosomally normal embryo. BFP. Subchorionic hematoma at 5 weeks. Multiple fetal abnormalities at 11w5d. Baby passed away at 12 weeks. D&C.

2017 - Miraculously pregnant, naturally. Very slow heartbeat at 6w, normal by 8w. Normal 12w, 16w, & 20w ultrasounds, chromosome test, AFP test, and carrier blood tests.

2018 - DS#2 is here! He’s perfect.
